I met Myles in a bar in Vietnam …. Over the next 6 years he became a true friend . We spent hundred of hours talking over a beer in Vietnam or talking via video or messenger when I was back in Australia . I spoke to him every few days from his diagnosis in Cambodia throughout his treatment in UK. He faced every challenge not only with such bravery and courage but with the reality of what was to be …. I felt his pain and was so sad to see such a powerful man gradually decline . When I was with him I always felt safe ….. he was that sort of a man …… a protector of people he cared about . I learnt all about his past life …. Of the good and the bad ….. he didn’t always make perfect choices …… but boy he missed and loved his girls . He always spoke so fondly of his sisters and his mum and dad …. I hope u know how much he loved you all . He was an incredibly honest and loyal friend . …. It was my privilege to be his friend and I will Miss him dearly Dougall
